OS/2 Warp version 3.0

In order to view this web site as it was intended to be seen, OS/2 Warp users with the WebExplorer should use web103.zip (770K). (Also valid is the newer 1.03a version, though I've found some pretty annoying bugs in it and I do not recommend using it!)

The official version web103.zip is available from the Retrieve Software Updates icon in your Internet Connection folder, as well as from Hobbes' FTP site, IBM's FTP site and also from here.

The newer patch for 1.03a is also available from Hobbes' and from here though as mentionned above, I strongly discourage using it unless necessary.

Note that if you have not done so already, you will also need to obtain the TCP/IP Base Update (28Jun95) from the Retrieve Software Updates icon in your Internet Connection folder.

This site last updated on 96Feb29.

The last modifications concern the new REXX WebEdit scripts.

This site is a 486/dx33 running OS/2 Warp (redpack) with Mike Cowlishaw's GoServe web server and Don Meyer's GoHTTP filter scripts.

96Feb25: Here is an example of what can be done with a few REXX scripts and an OS/2 Web server such as GoServe. I've created a simple web tool where individual accounts can be created on an OS/2 machine, and users can access and modify their Web pages directly from the WWW. Try it now...log in as guest and use the password guest. Please let me know if everything works.

NOTE: I've noticed that the WebExplorer 1.03a does not work with the EDIT HTML FILES feature. You should use version 1.03 to access these scripts.
