the world as fast and easy as possible. Adaptec-designed hardware and

Our products make you more productive by enabling you to use your
computer's work more quickly, easily, reliably, and cost-effectively.
Put simply, Adaptec moves the data that moves your world!
Adaptec solutions move data between different computer types (portable,
desktop, workgroup, and enterprise) and peripherals (printers,
scanners, optical drives, RAID, disk drives, tape drives, CD-ROM and
recordable CD drives, and more) using high performance industry
standard technologies (SCSI, IR, EIDE, PCMCIA) and emerging advanced
technologies (SSA, Fibre Channel, 1394).
Adaptec solutions also move data between computers and the most
advanced networking technologies
(ATM and others). And, Adaptec solutions make it easy
to configure and manage the input and output (I/O) of data across all
leading CISC and RISC processor platforms and operating systems
(Windows 95 & NT, Windows, DOS, MacOS, OS/2, UNIX).
Founded in 1981, the company achieved profitability in 1984, went
