Netscape Navigator component:

Netscape Messenger component:

• Allows user-friendly names for newsgroups
• Provides categorization for discussions
• Enables cross-discussion searches for relevant information
• Allows user to prioritize and manage discussion postings and through Collabra's filters, allows users to highlight certain postings and ignore others
• Supports management of postings from Communicator's Message Center and enables posting of forum messages with graphics, images - even Java Applets

The French language version of Communicator 4.04 for OS/2 Warp does not include mail encryption. Sun Microsystems has identified its JDK version 1.1.6 and subsequent versions of its Java JDK to be Year 2000 ready. All earlier versions must be upgraded to at least version 1.1.6 to become Year 2000 ready. The OS/2 Warp Developer's Kit for Java 1.1.6 replaces Java 1.1.4 for OS/2 Warp. It is the path for Year 2000 readiness for Java 1.0.x, 1.1.1, and 1.1.4 for OS/2.

The Java version selection utility for Netscape Navigator enables you to choose which version of Java to use with Netscape Navigator. If you have previously installed Java 1.1.x on your system, the installation program for Netscape Navigator automatically asks which version of Java you want to use with Netscape Navigator. If Netscape Navigator is installed before Java 1.1.x is added to your system, you may select the Java version by launching the Java version selection utility and selecting which version of Java you want to use with Netscape Navigator. The Java version selection utility is intended to be used once in most cases.

When using Java 1.1.x, a display of 256 colors or greater is required.
