OS/2 Warp (Red box, Eg not full pack) was installed on a logically partitioned harddrive. C: was Dos partition, D: was OS/2 Partition.
Windows was NOT installed on C: prior to installing OS/2. A reformatting was done of the hard drive into multiple partitions (C and D) from a single partition (C) that had previously contained both DOS and OS/2 systems.
The DOS partition was fully restored 'after' OS/2 was installed.
When OS/2 was installed 'before' Windows, whenever a windows application was invoked while under OS/2, the mouse would quickly quit operating in the window that was being used. It was like there was no 'focus' on the current window, until a mouse click re-woke up the mouse in the correct window.
This became very frustrating, when typing a word document or entering data into another windows application to constantly have to 're-click' the mouse to have the window accept keystrokes.
Re-installing the mouse driver into OS/2 after Windows was installed did NOT correct the problem.
The problem may have been caused by installing OS/2 on D drive prior to Windows on C DOS drive.
Installing FixPak 10 corrected the problem.
