Michele Abrams Welcome to my Jazz Site! I hope the coming year will be one full of happiness, good health, special friends and lots of Contemporary Jazz. The one thing I can always count on making me happy is hearing this passionate music! My love for jazz started a handful of years ago when I lived in Los Angeles and worked in the music industry. I moved to Seattle, Washington and began hosting a contemporary jazz radio show and it was there that I became hooked. I really enjoy attending jazz festivals and have made some incredible friends, many of which you hear every day on your local radio station. I must say I have found the people behind the instruments to be as wonderful as their music. It is for this reason that I hope I can make a small contribution to giving local and national artists the added exposure they so greatly deserve. Contemporary Jazz On-Line is exclusive to this exciting style of jazz and it's purpose is to help preserve the music and showcase everyone involved. Special thanks to Darren Motamedy who gave me my first sax lesson, how many CD's do you have now? Love to Eric Marienthal for taking the time to teach and encourage a beginner! I can't forget Tony Gable & 206 with two outstanding CD's to their credit- Tony, thanks to you and Bobby for being such good friends and always considering me part of the crew!
