Oregon State University is dramatically renovating the Hatfield Marine Science Public Wing. The previous public area consisted of a series of low-key displays on coastal and ocean processes and issues as well as numerous aquaria featuring animals and plants found in local waters. The new facility will showcase the research done by people at the Hatfield Marine Science Center and at Oregon State University. It will also encourage people of all ages to use the tools and approaches of science to begin gaining an appreciation and understanding for the complex world around us.
