	THE COMPANY
	The Lab Vision Autostainer is manufactured by Lab Vision Corporation at our facility in Fremont, California, USA. Lab Vision is an equipment manufacturing company devoted to development and production of user-friendly automated laboratory equipment. Lab Vision's staff of engineers covers all relevant fields of expertise, including computer software. The Lab Vision Autostainer is controlled by a proprietary software program developed in-house by Lab Vision's experts. Lab Vision Corporation is financially independent of any other manufacturer of equipment or reagents. Our policy is to develop equipment compatible with reagents and auxiliaries already available on the market - with maximum flexibility for the user. It is out belief that this policy provides the best value for our customers. As a high quality, totally open system (allowing the user free choice of reagents) the Lab Vision Autostainer represents a new concept for automation in immunohistochemistry.
	THE PRODUCT
	The Lab Vision Autostainer is designed to perform automated and totally reliable immunostaining in a way that closely mimics the way that immunostaining is done manually in most laboratories today. The Lab Vision Autostainer is an open system allowing you to use the reagents of your choice, in the dilution and incubation time you want. The system allows you to maintain existing protocols without change, whereby the reference value of previous manual staining is maintained. The system invites you to specify your own protocols - and save them for re-use.
	THE PROGRAM You design the protocol!
	Entry Screen Logical choices guide the user through the programming process. Your Own Settings Select your own setting for reagent dispense volume and dispense location. Your Own Protocols Design your own protocols by clicking on the selected steps. Save and re-use any established protocols. Your Own Reagents As a user, you specify your own reagents and corresponding incubation times dependent upon the reagent/dilution you have chosen. Programming Screen Grid covers all 48 slides and up to 30 protocol steps. Programming is made easy by pop-up windows with relevant reagent lists, "fill-down," "copy/paste," and program re-use functions. An Autoprogramming feature allows the user to save and re-use protocols with specified reagent for groups of slides. Slide Map Allows user to change reagent dispense volume and reagent dispense location for individual slides. Reagent Map Shows where to place the reagent vials in the two reagent racks - and the reagent volumes required for the run. Up to 64 different reagents may also be used in any rum. Set Start Time - Go! Click "RUN" for immediate start or slide the start time indicator with the cursor until the desired start time (or ending time) is displayed. This allows for the programming of delayed starts, ideal for overnight incubations.
