INTRODUCTION OF 888 TOLL-FREE NUMBERS

For Immediate Release - Halifax November 10, 1995 - - To put it simply, we are running out of toll-free 800 numbers. By April 1996, virtually all of North America's 7.6 million 800 numbers will be in use. To avoid a possible toll-free number shortage, a new toll-free access code, 888, will be introduced across North America effective March 1, 1996.

The availability of more than 7 million 888 toll-free numbers is good news! Now businesses will have a much greater chance of getting a personalized or "vanity" 888 toll-free number. In addition and to protect the investment you have made in your existing 800 number, order the equivalent 888 number now.

Where possible, we will endeavour to obtain the number(s) you request. However, until industry guidelines on the actual 888 reservation process are established, we cannot guarantee your request.

For more information on the new 888 toll-free code, simply call our customer hotline number; 1-800-611-4888 or check out our 888 product information pages.
