: : Since this board is DEAD,

: Kind of hard for something to be declared dead after only being up for two days...

: : I

: : won't consider whether there is really a reason

: : to post this, besides getting more info about Delver from

: : replies, and to give people someyhing to read.

: : Well, here goesSS

: Since I'll only speak for Delver, here's some more detail and clarification...

: : (I don't know how to use the HTML table tags)

: : Features:

: : Game Plug-in scenarios?

: In theory, but in practice, there will probably be a new engine for each game, tied to the scenario (with engine enhancements - this solves a great many problems by doing it this way - for example, one of the major enhancements for the next version of the engine will not be backwards compatible to the current file format). You end up registering the scenario, not the engine

: : Map(multi or single scale)

: Either is possible, Cythera uses multi-scale.

: : Conversation?

: Run mostly off of keywords and/or menus.

: : Actual passage of time(ie things happen as a result of time pasing, not just player actions)

: It is not real-time (i.e., if you go to answer the phone, nothing happens until you return), but there is passage of time (people get up, work, go to a bar, etc...)

: : Monsters damaged by only certain weapons/spells?

: Probably not - Cythera isn't combat oriented.

:

: : Follows AD&D; rules?

: Not in the least.

: : 'Interactive' landscape (able to manipulate your environment)?

: You can interact with basically any and everything.

: : Music? Can you change music?

: Yes, No.

: : As for other things such as sound and graphics quality:

: : Delver-Too soon to tell about the sounds, but the grahpics look pretty cool except for the people, which I'm dubious about.

: None of the people artwork is anything but temporary (a bunch of the rest of it is also temporary - even the window frames, but none of the people are "real") - our artist should be providing "real" people soon, at which point new screenshots will be uploaded. Based on other new tiles, it should be pretty cool
Sounds good.
Now I'm curious about your "not in the least" response to AD&D; rules-
will it still have the basic concept?
As in, will there be different classes for characters, and things like that?
