British Columbia Trans Canada Highway
High Occupancy Vehicle Lane Construction Project
(Grandview to Cape Horn) - General Contractor, B.A. Blacktop Ltd.
The 16-Km section of the Trans Canada Highway (see map below) from the Grandview Highway Interchange to the Cape Horn Interchange is a vital (and often congested) link in British Columbia's Lower Mainland transportation system.

This project involves the widening of the Trans Canada Highway with the addition of a high occupancy vehicle lane for each direction of travel. The majority of roadwork for this project is taking place at night, during which time one lane in each direction of travel may be closed in the affected construction area. As a result, normal peak travel periods should not be affected by any construction. However, during the construction period of the project, you may wish to allow for some extra travel time, try an alternate route, carpool or take BC Transit to help minimize delays.
