Name | Download | Version | Last Updated | OS | Description |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Annoid | Download | 1.0 | 2/21/98 | Win95 with DirectX 5.0 | This emulator, although a tad slow, emulates Arkanoid(the Bootleg version). It has sound and even GameGenie/Pro Action Reply support (don't ask me how). It's made by the maintainer of he largest Arcade ROM Archive around. |
Asteroids | Download | 3.02 | 1/1/98 | DOS | This is an emulator for, you guessed it, Asteroids! It is written in 100% assembly, and therefore is quite fast. It has sound support with the Asteroids samples, and runs both version 1 and 2 of Asteroids. Although MAME already emulates Asteroids, this is a nice emulator and is worth a download, for those with very slow computers who want to play Asteroids. |
BOO | Download | 1.00 | 6/4/98 | Win95 | BOO emulates Ghouls 'n' Ghosts, a Capcom System 1 Arcade game. It has sound support, although it does not have joystick or dipswitch support, and the sound slows it down. Requires DirectX 3.0+. |
Btishger | Download | 0.31 | 6/17/97 | DOS | This emulates the classic arcade game Black Tiger, with so-so sound support. However, it runs the game flawlessly, and at a great speed on any Pentium. |
Combat School Emulator | Download | 1 | 10/27/98 | Win9X | This emulates the Combat School Arcade machine. It doesn't support sound, the documentation is in
spanish, and it uses MMX instructions to speed up the emulator, which is pretty slow anyway. Download at your own risk.

DTMNT | Download | 0.54 0.54 0.55 0.54 |
11/06/98 | DOS | This is the fastest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles emulator there is. It has music and sound effects support,
now that the YM2151 and Z80 have been emulated. It also has joystick support, real time saving and loading, and other neat
little features. Through samples, not included with the emulator, you can also get speech. This is the best TMNT emulator
by far, download it, you won't regret it. The speech problem has been solved, the reason that the author couldn't find the
speech samples within the ROMs is because the romset is incomplete! DTMNT 0.54 supports the complete sound ROMset.
This is the Pentium optimized version, use only if you have a true Intel Pentium. A beta version with scanlines and better 8-bit color. It's slower, however. The source. Get it, learn. |
Grytra | Download | 2.0 | 6/8/98 | DOS | Grytra is a Gryzor (known as Contra in the US) emulator for DOS. I'm not sure what has changed from the last version since so far all the documentation for this version is in spanish. |
I Robot emulator | Download | 0.98 | 6/22/98 | Win 95 | This is the only emulator available for Atari's "I Robot" arcade game. It's very fast, runs the game perfectly, and even has sound emulation. Amazing that a game like this existed in 1983. It's worth a download if you were a fan of I Robot, and even if you weren't, check it out anyway. |
Les | Download | V1 | 10/15/98 | DOS | This emulator, coded by my good friend _DrMario_, runs Pleiads. No sound yet, and it doesn't run anything else. It uses the same engine as Penix. |
|
This emulator emulates Millipede. It was coded in Visual Basic, so you'll need the standard runtime files. It runs pretty good with the exception of a few flaws. A palette is included, but you'll have to wait to insert coins. This is compatible with Windows95/98. All, in all. It's a great EMU. | ||||
Nemesis Emulator | Download | 0.99a | 3/25/97 | Win95 + DirectX | This emulator runs the 1985 Arcade classic, Nemesis. It has sound support, although it is rather slow. It requires DirectX. |
Penix | Download | V3 | 10/12/98 | DOS | This emulator, coded by my good friend _DrMario_, runs Phoenix. No sound yet, and it doesn't run anything else. Sound is upcoming, and more games will be supported soon. |
REM! (Rygar Emu) | Download | 0.9c | 4/29/97 | DOS | It emulates Rygar, with a perfect palette and sound support. It is rather fast, and it's your choice: REM! or Rishgar, they both do the job quite well. Or MAME ;) |
Rishgar | Download | 0.92 | 6/17/97 | DOS | This emulates the classic arcade game Rygar, with good sound support and an almost perfect palette. However, it probably isn't going to ever be updated again. |
Slutte! | Download | Release 5 | 3/31/98 | DOS | It emulates Bionic Commando, in 256 color mode, without sound. It has high score saving, but is buggy at times. This emulator has been discontinued. |
The Marble Madness Emulator | Download | 0.2 | 9/13/98 | Win95 | This is the fastest emulator that emulates the classic arcade and NES game, Marble Madness. Although there is no sound or joystick support yet, it runs full speed on a P133 (it uses Direct Draw), and it's getting better all the time. It's worth a download. |
Thunder | Download | Beta 4 | 10/6/98 | DOS | This Rolling Thunder emulator (which is the only Rolling Thunder emulator out there) is rather buggy, but it's a beta so it should get better in the future. It supports sound through samples. Also, make sure you have a FAST computer if you want to run Rolling Thunder at full speed (P2-266+). |
TMNT Emulator | Download (DOS) | 0.7 | 5/4/98 | DOS | This emulator is for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade game. It currently has versions available for it for DOS, Win95 and Win95 with DirectX. There's no sound yet, and it's rather slow. I would recommend DTMNT over this. |
Xain'D Sleena Emulator | Download | Release 1 | 4/6/98 | DOS | This emulates a classic Arcade Game, Xain'D Sleena. It is rather fast, and has the correct color palette, along with partial sound emulation, joystick support, and an option to save the configuration. |
