. Zophar's Domain Articles Submission Guidelines June 01, 2000 .
. Okay, friends. Let’s say you’re an emulation fanatic with something to say. Sure, you can say something on our web boards, but it really doesn’t have much of an impact in the long run. So, that’s where ZD’s “Articles” page comes in. It’s not an open forum of sorts, but it’s more like a place for editorial comments.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Each article must be at least 500 words, spell-checked, and with few grammatical problems.
  • The articles must be professional in the sense that they are completely accurate, use language that isn’t profane, and do not unjustly attack anyone. (In other words, you can’t flame someone in your article.)
  • You may not use articles previously published.
  • You must agree to let your articles go through an editorial process, in which the editor/articles page maintainer (Ernie Smith a.k.a. Stick Figure) will make changes before we publish them on ZD. (If requested, you may see a copy of the edited article before we post it.)
  • If we publish the article, you must put your e-mail address with the article, and you may link to your personal web page as well. We will also link the article to the appropriate message board for further discussion on Zophar’s Domain.
  • You may use images or photographs in the articles, but you may not use copyrighted images, those in the photographs have allowed you to use them, and you must obtain the images yourself.
  • Topics for articles will be original, and those of the writer himself.
  • The article becomes the property of Zophar’s Domain, but we will allow you to publish the article in another source by request to articles page maintainer. By posting it at the other source, you agree to add this line: “Previously published on Zophar’s Domain on xx/xx/xxxx.”

They’re a little strict, but mostly because we’d like to get some serious inquiries from writers.

While the position will not pay, the article has the potential to reach thousands of Zophar’s Domain readers, and will get free exposure on the page. If interested, please contact Ernie Smith a.k.a. Stick Figure for more information.
