Win95 & DOS This new N64 emulator is a bit different from all the others. It's open source. That means anyone who wants can participate with something and add it to the emulator. Both the source code and binary can be obtained. Currently it's in early stages, but keep an eye out for future releases.
Nemu64 Download 0.02 4/6/99 Win95 Nemu64 can run a number of demos, including n64stars, Firedemo, fw-intro, rpa and others. Currently, 50% of the CPU has been emulated. This is the most promising of any of the N64 emulators (other than UltraHLE), so keep your eye on this one.

11/09/98 DOS This is a new Nintendo 64 emulator coded by faraway (whom many of you know from the irc channel, #emu, on efnet) and it can currently run the FireDemo (slowly), N64 Stars, and maybe even some others. Remember, this is a beta, and doesn't run any games, so don't bother the author with bug reports! Programmers, be sure and check out the source code!
NSFE (Discontinued) Download 0.1a 3/31/98 Win95 Formerly known as Reality 64, this is a CPU-only emulator currently, which means you won't see it run any games, nor will you see any graphics. This emulator has been discontinued as of 1/18/99 the files will remain online simply for reference.

5/25/98 Win95 *(Discontinued)* This was the first Nintendo 64 emulator ever attempted. This emulator has proven to people who say that Nintendo Emulation is impossible, wrong! It can run many N64 demos, including Pong64, a homebrewn N64 game, and even show some opening screens from Mortal Kombat Trilogy, and the WaveRace64 N64 logo screen! It has an FPS counter, and on a P166, playing Pong, you can get around 15 FPS (less on a Cyrix CPU). There is no sound emulation, and for graphics, only 2D emulation. You can also run it fullscreen using the DirectX fullscreen mode. A compatiblility list is also available from ZD. 0.4a does not have the built in debugger anymore, so 0.3a is also here for download. It's a shame that the project has been discontinued.
Sunset Download rev1.2c 3/7/99 Win9x The newest Nintendo 64 emulator there is, Sunset can run alot of demos. This is the most promising of any of the N64 emulators (other than UltraHLE), so keep your eye on this one. Like UltraHLE, this emulator uses Dynamic Recompila tion, so it is very fast.
True Reality Download 0.2c 2/10/98 DOS The popular n64 emulator for Unix is now ported to DOS courtesy of the author of NEmu64. This can only run a few demos, but worth a look.
Ultra 64 Download

0.3 4/2/99 Win9X The newest N64 emulator to hit emulation, Ultra 64 has freely downloadable source. That's about the only plus, though, since this emulator only has registers, memory and some opcodes emulated, so you won't get any video or sound output (IE, nothing works). Keep an eye on it though. This emulator now also has a debugger and a ROM header reader.

Win95/98/NT Wow! The first ever working N64 emulator has been released just before February. This emulator runs 17 commercial N64 ROMS, and every one runs near-perfect! And get this... WITH SOUND! It also has joystick support. However, 6 hours after its initial release, it was discontinued. Hopefully it will continue again some day. You'll need at least a P2-233 system with a 3dFX card for this emulator to function at all. A P2-300 with a Voodoo2 or Banshee card is recommended. (Compatibility List Created by Demi.)

Ultra.ini is a modified version of the Ultra.ini file that originally came with UltraHLE. It adds support for more games, improves games that already worked, and has lots of optional cheats.

UltraHLP is a tool for UltraHLE that makes it support two players, fixes bugs such as the Mario jump bug, allows you to define up to 16 buttons on a controller, and much more!

UltraHLE-Z is a TOTALLY unofficial release of UltraHLE which features a whole load of stuff, including the Voodoo 3 patch, so it's worth a try. And, I'm adding this if you don't get it: Don't bug the UltraHLE authors about this one. They didn't put this stuff together.
