News from Marat Fayzullin via email

Hello!

I have released a new update to ColEm (my ColecoVision emulator) for Android. The updated ColEm will save game state on exit, to let you restart the game where you left off. It also changes the virtual joypad layout, moving fire buttons to the top-right corner.

You can get it for free from the Android Market:

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.fms.colem

Or, if you are tired of watching the ads, get the ad-free premium version (lots of people asked for it):

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.fms.colem.deluxe

Also see ColEm homepage:
http://fms.komkon.org/ColEm/

And the common page for my Android apps, containing some tips on using Speccy (such as loading from tapes, etc):

Best regards,

UPSE PSF Decoder, a new Playstation Sound Format plugin for foobar2000

Click on the name of either utility to proceed to its download page.

LazyUSF - a foobar2000 plugin for playing Nintendo 64 sound files - was updated to version 2.1 on February 7th. In this version, bugs were fixed where a file with a track length, but no fade would not read the track length (display as "?"), and where the default fade is not added to the default track length if there are no track length tags at all.

The following additional changes to version 2.1 were made on June 26th:

  • Fixed some more bugs in the Cpu core
  • better tagging support
  • removed threading (runs Cpu on demand)

Game Emu Player - a foobar2000 plugin which plays several game console music formats - was updated to version 1.115 on July 26th. Here are the updates since our latest posted version, 1.102:

  • SPC input now only emits dynamic metadata updates while at least one SPC700 status window is open.
  • Updated YM2612 emulator to latest from Genesis Plus GX, although the effect is not likely to be audible.
  • Fixed tracks playing forever when they weren't supposed to after seeking backwards.
  • Fixed keyboard navigation in the GEP Control dialog.
  • Changed zlib dependency to use standard zlib1.dll.
  • Added a more thorough SPC echo buffer clearing hack.
  • Added VGM7Z support, requires foo_unpack_7z.
  • Fixed the GEP Control dialog so background decoding won't interfere with it.
  • Added support for more M3U comment fields.
  • Increased maximum initial silence to 15 seconds for all formats except for GBS, which remains at 21 seconds, and VGM, which gets one second because all files should already be trimmed anyway.
  • Fixed a crash when cutting the SPC-700 Status visualization UI element from the current layout.
  • Added more header comment fields to the M3U parser, and fixed the clear function so it correctly resets all the newer global fields.
  • Fixed VGM format handling bugs introduced by recent changes.
