A newer Genesis emulator, this one doesn't have joystick support or real-time saving or any of that stuff, and the author considers the graphic display to be pretty slow, but the author seems dedicated and motivated, and as he says "To all the Sonic lovers out there I hope this brings us all one step closer to perfect emulation of our beloved hedgehog." The first Unix (Linux PPL-i486) Genesis emu that I know about anyway. Newest release includes a speed-up, faster priority handling, lower memory requirements, and higher compatibility. This emu requires a working version of SDL. There is also a nifty demo for this emulator by Censor if you don't have any rom images (that would illegal *wink*) |
