DarcNES is a newer DOS/Linux NES emulator, also emulates Sega Master System and PCE. It supports the most common mappers and also includes sound support. The documentation currently lacks some important information (such as the controls) but you can find them on the DarcNES homepage. | |

So get this one if you don't like the other ones. According to the homepage, FCE is discontinued, but who knows? | ||

iNES is an pretty old NES emulator but it's still one of the emulators with the best compatiblity. The only problem with this emulator is that it runs in X11 in Linux and does not support fullscreen like fwNES. I haven't tried the all of the Unix ports, but it's worth a download. |
