Zophar's Message Domains are WWWBoards where you can post messages of your own and reply to other people's messages. ZD currently features four message boards on various topics, which you'll find listed below. Also, in order to make the message boards a better place to visit, most of them have a set of rules which if followed, will keep your posts from getting deleted and keep you from getting banned. Please read and abide by them as much as possible. One rule that stands for all the boards even though it's not in the rules (it shouldn't have to be) is we do not allow things such as "warez," "crackz," "serialz," etc. If you don't know what those are then you have no need to worry.


Zophar's Message Domain

Background Information
The message board that started it all. This message board was started simply because there were no others at the time. Literally. The Console Consortium site (now defunct) used to have a very good message board. When the site died, nothing could replace its message board...until ZMD that is. These days every emulation site seems to have a message board, but we believe ZMD is at times a very enjoyable place to visit, or it would be taken down. Isn't that special?
Purpose
Oh yea, what is ZMD for, anyway? Zophar's Message Domain is for discussion of anything related to emulation. If you have a question about an emulator, utility or other such topic, this is the place to find the answer.

Talk of the Town

Background Information
This board was created to clear some of the spam off Zophar's Message Domain. After a while, the posters of ZMD got to know one another, and so they began posting regular conversations instead of emulator-related stuff. We didn't want to discourage this type of thing, however we wanted ZMD to be rather spam free, so this board was created.
Purpose
The purpose of this board is anything and everything. You can basically post whatever you want. We only ask that you don't post emulator-related posts here, since they belong on ZMD. This is an open forum where you can post about anything you want. If you have some non-emulation related news you feel that visitors of ZD would be interested in or just want to put in your two cents concerning the state of the world or which breakfast cereal is best, this is the place to do it.

Buy/Trade/Sell

Background Information
This board's creation has caused some internal arguing here at ZD. Infe doesn't want to overflow ZD with too many boards, and Zophar thinks more boards will help ZD. It was created, as its name implies, to allow people to buy and sell videogame and console goods.
Purpose
This is the place to go if you want to buy, sell or trade video game systems, carts, copiers, or any other merchandise you think the ZD visitors would be interested in. Please note that ROM/Warez CDs are NOT permissable here as they are illegal.

Rom Hack Board

Background Information
Originally, this board was part of Demi's translation web page. This board was supposed to replace his temporarily, but Demi decided not to put his back up, so the Rom Hack board became permanent.
Purpose
Use this board if you want to talk about the art of translating and graphic hacking.

Next-Generation Board

Background Information
The newest ZD board there is, this board was created to keep UltraHLE & Bleem type posts off of the other message boards, where the retro people tended to post.
Purpose
This board is for posting about any next-generation system made after 1994, such as N64, PSX, Virtual Boy and Saturn, that is being or has been emulated.
