Strike down the Angels as they attack!

All of the mecha in the game (Eva and Angels alike) are fully rendered in 3-D. You can make Eva move any way you like.
The game itself is constructed as a series of missions based on events in the anime series, beginning with Eva's battle with Sakiel, the Third Angel. You will have to use a variety of tactics to defeat the various attacks which the Angels will throw at you.

You'll even see the Unit One launch sequence rendered in 3-D!

Classic scenes reply on your screen, complete with voices!

In between missions, you'll see key scenes from the original TV series, shown as demo footage for the player's benefit, and complete with the original voice-acting cast. Not only will this help those who've never seen the series to understand the plot, fans will also get to see scenes that are burned into their memories.

A variety of concealed play modes awaits!
You can also play Rei or Asuka!

Just because you've finished the game once doesn't mean you're finished with it. Concealed modes appear when certain conditions are met. The ones listed at right are just a few of those built into the game. See what else you can find.
3-D Shootout Mode:
You can have a shootout with Angels you've already defeated when a given condition is met. And you can also play Rei or Asuka in this mode, not just Shinji.
Two-Player Mode:
The game contains a hidden two-player mode, wherein you can play against another human player instead of just the computer. Again, a certain condition or set of conditions must be met.
Options:
This mode is where you can change the difficulty level of the Story Mode. Once you've won the Easy Level, then you're ready to try winning at a higher difficulty level. That's not all there is to this Mode, either...

The following page describes the game itself in greater detail. We'll show you the various systems that power up the combat scenes, as well as ways to clear the various missions.
