Eva's unique combat system faithfully reproduced

Synchronization Rate:
This indicates the degree of neural synchronization between Eva and its Children pilot. The graph at lower left gives a running display of this indicator, which increases when an attack connects, depending on a number of variables. As Synchronization Rate increases, attack patterns change, and hits score greater damage.

AT Field:

This force field can defend against any and all material attacks. It can only be generated for a limited amount of time, however, so its use requires careful attention to elapsed time. An AT Field can also be used to neutralize another AT Field.

Umbilical Cables:

These are the power cables connected to the backs of each Eva Unit. They come loose if they take sufficient impact. If this happens, the Eva can only use its internal batteries, which will enable it to continue fighting for only another five minutes.

Berserk
In crisis situations, Eva will shed its restraints and go berserk. This happens in missions corresponding to those TV episodes in which Eva went berserk, when specific conditions are met. Attack patterns will change, and power will increase dramatically. You can still operate the controls while Eva is berserk.

Choose Your Tactics Based On The Objectives of Each Mission
Mission 1: Sakiel

Eva Unit One Vs. Sakiel
Your first mission will be your battle with Sakiel, the Third Angel, from TV series episodes 1 and 2. At this point, Eva has no weaponry, so you'll need to know your basic controls cold to take the Angel down..
When certain conditions are fulfilled, Unit One will go berserk, just like in the TV version of this battle, and victory will be nearly yours. Take the Angel out quickly, before your internal batteries run out.

Mission 2: Shamshiel

Unit One Vs. Shamshiel
The next mission is to battle Shamshiel, the Fourth Angel, from episode 4. Shamshiel's tentacles enable it to attack at long ranges, something you'll have to be careful of. Your best chance of defeating it will be when you get the Progressive Knife. Aim your killing blow where its flesh is thinnest.

As for Mission 3 and later...
The first two missions are primarily orthodox hand-to-hand combat settings, where the important thing is to attack in a way that takes advantage of a given Angel's weaknesses, as per the TV series.
The Ramiel Fight (Operation Yashima) involves long-range marksmanship using the Positron Rifle, while the Israfel Fight involves attacking in time to the music. These are just two of the variable mission situations in which you will find yourself. Can you defeat all of the Angels?
