Subject: [BRIGADE] Reform Ballot Scheme Corrupted
Dear Brigade,
The GOP has sent a massive mailing announcing that they will further
corrupt the integrity of the Reform Party mail-in ballot scheme.
They are telling Republicans to stuff the ballot box with votes for cult
leader John Hagelin.
This alone is enough to disqualify the Reform Party mail-in ballot scheme.
In the last 2 days I have received thousands of copies from outraged
Brigades and Reformers. No one knows how many hundreds of E-lists
and tens of thousands of people are involved.
In 1996, the Reform Party lost millions of votes. Russ Verney and his
Crew underwent charges of vote rigging for running the mail-in ballot
process like a shell game.
Several years ago the Reform Party added a rule that the popular vote
(mail-in ballot scheme) can be overturned by 2/3 vote of the Delegates at
the National Convention. The reason was to protect against vote fraud -
the same type of fraud we are seeing today.
The only solution is to rely on the vote by delegates to the National
Convention in Long Beach. Each delegate will have been elected and
vetted in what is sure to be a very public process.
See emails below from the Buchanan campaign and the GOP letter.
Note that I still recommend that you request a ballot from your Reform
Party state chairman -- the deadline is June 30th.
The RP website has a list at: http://reformparty.org/states/index.html

PS - I will be sending you more information on the RP ballot voting fiasco
- stand by.

Subject: Stop Pat Stop!

************************
Stop Pat Stop!
Reality Check: Either George W. Bush or Prince Albert will be the next
president of the United States - NOT Pat Buchanan.
And as much as we respect Pat's conservative credentials, a vote for him
in November is a vote for Al Gore ... period. That is ... IF Pat gets the
Reform Party nomination. Interestingly, this is now in some doubt.
Here's why...
If you thought the GOP primary fight was a screwed up mess with all
those open primaries, you ain't seen nothin' yet. What's not widely
known is that the Reform Party has an open primary system, as well,
and it's a doozy. Apparently, ANY registered voter, regardless of party
affiliation, can request a ballot to vote in the Reform Party's national
presidential primary ... and you don't even have to go to the convention
since the balloting will be done by MAIL! Hoo-hah.
Now follow me on this: If Buchanan gets the Reform Party nod - along
with the $12.6 million in taxpayer-funded federal matching funds - he's
going to draw votes away from George W., not Al Gore. But first, Pat
has to get past a Reform Party primary challenge by John Hagelin, who's
also the presidential candidate of the left-wing Natural Law Party ... and
who would draw votes from GORE! Reports are that Hagelin and
Buchanan are right now running neck-and-neck.
To take the Reform Party nomination away from Buchanan, Hagelin has
set up a web site where any registered voter can download a request for
a Reform Party mail-in ballot. Anyone who doesn't want to see
Buchanan get the nomination and that whopping $12.6 million - which
would include anyone backing George W. Bush - can download the
request for ballot at: http://www.reasontovote.com/ .
Again, I personally like Pat Buchanan ... as I'm sure many of you do.
But he left the GOP and is now undertaking an effort to royally screw
Republicans and the Republican Party by helping to elect Al Gore.
Loyal Republicans voting in the Reform Party's national presidential mail-
in primary could do to Pat what Pat's been doing to us. This is hardball
politics, folks. I've already requested my ballot and I suggest you might
want to do the same. And while you're at it, why not forward this e-mail
to everyone on YOUR list as well ... ASAP!
Because the deadline for Hagelin to RECEIVE your request for a ballot is
June 30 ... next Friday. That means you have to mail your request in
time so that it is RECEIVED by the 30th ... not postmarked by the 30th.
So hurry. - Chuck Muth, Editor, "GOP News & Views", 6/21/00
I agree with everything he said. If you agree as well, please hurry.
