NC CORPORATION PERPETUATES "MEDIA HOAX"
--- LINKS TO BILLIONAIRE-TYCOON ROSS PEROT!
30 JULY -- Saturday in Dallas, TX, members of an obscure
North Carolina corporation, calling itself the "Reform
Leadership Council, Inc." (RLC), issued a "media hoax"
claiming that on their own they had 'disqualified' presidential
candidate Patrick Buchanan from the Reform Party USA
(RPUSA) nomination.
While a 'media release' issued by the group bore the names of
Jim Mangia, Paul Truax, and Donna Donovan, those left off
were Anne Merkl, Sue Harris DeBauche, Michi Summerhayes,
June Spink and Russell Verney, heretofore a personal
surrogate and Dallas employee of billionaire-tycoon Ross
Perot.
According to corporation records of the NC Department of
Secretary of State, RLC, Inc. is SOSID #0520794, as filed on
17 FEB 2000 by Dror Bar-Sadeh, and is listed as a 'business'
corporation with a 1000 shares of common stock. Yet ever
since RLC, Inc. first appeared, it has engaged exclusively in
very questionable and clandestine 'political activity', not
normally associated with commercial businesses.
On their website, the RLC claims to have formed on 27 DEC
1999 and their opening agenda was to get rid of Jack Gargan,
the duly elected RPUSA Party Chairman. They were
successful in a National Committee Member (NCM) meeting in
Nashville in February, but the NCM rejected Russell Verney as
Gargan's replacement, and four days later the RLC
incorporated in NC.
Since Buchanan's supporters overwhelming rejected Verney,
RLC, Inc. has focused all its financial resources and 'business
activity' towards disrupting Buchanan's advance for the
presidential nomination within the Reform Party USA. Thus
instead of a business corporation using 'soft-money' to support
a political party, here a business is openly disrupting a growing
political party!
RLC, Inc. records list Russell Verney as "Spokesperson",
while Verney claims to be a self-styled "political advisor" to
failed presidential candidate Ross Perot. Dror Bar-Sadeh is
listed as RLC, Inc. 'treasurer', and also works for Jim Mangia,
and Donna Donovan is listed as RLC, Inc. "press secretary".
All of these people have had financial ties to "Perot Systems,
Inc.", another NC business corporation, as well as Delaware.
Current "Chair" of RLC, Inc. is Dot Drew, and "Vice Chair" is
Pat Benjamin, who together with Russell Verney tried to set up
their own Credentials Committee for the 2000 National RPUSA
Convention, set for Long Beach, California, between 8 AUG to
13 AUG.
Finally, Verney's choice for 'convention parliamentarian' was
Beverly Kennedy, RLC, Inc. "secretary". So although Russell
Verney has absolutely no position, title or authority within the
RPUSA, he nevertheless is trying to run his own agenda
through RLC, Inc. and his 'business cohorts' linked to Ross
Perot.
Public statements to date include Verney's agenda to "cancel"
the National Convention, then to "divert" the nomination from
Pat Buchanan, who has amassed almost a million names for
ballot access in all 50 states plus DC, to a 'draft Perot' effort
which garnered a total of 7100 names nationwide!
Failing these, Verney then tried to stack the Credentials
Committee with his RLC, Inc. cronies, but was quickly
replaced by the current National Chairman, Gerry Moan. So
having failed to "cancel", "divert", or "disrupt", to date, the RLC,
Inc. has now, on their own, claimed "disqualified" the only
viable candidate the RPUSA has, Patrick Buchanan. Thus
Verney's RLC, Inc. has become the 'sideshow' of the Reform
Party USA, the very ones Gov. Jesse Ventura identified as
being ''dysfunctional"!
Their recent "media hoax" is proof once again of a how a
'huckster' attracts attention for a 'sideshow' instead of the main
event!
