NOTEWORTHY INTERNET BRIGADE EMAIL

My Chat With Edsall of the Washington Post

From: "Linda Muller" <linda@buchanan.org>
To: brigade@zeus.wwol.com

Subject: [BRIGADE] My Chat With Edsall of the Washington Post

Dear Brigade,

Is Thomas Edsall of the Washington Post just incompetent, or
does he have an agenda of his own?

Read the two columns below. Edsall is on my Brigade list, he
also checks out my website. How do I know? He called me,
hoping to find a racist, or better yet, an anti-semite lurking
behind the Brigade website.

Here is a recap of the phone call:

Edsall: I'd like to get your opinion on the campaign.

Muller: Sorry, I don't give interviews, call the campaign.

Edsall: Bbbbbut wwwait... I get your emails!

Muller: Yeah, so do thousands of others.

Edsall: Wait... I ... I.. I've been on your website !

Muller: That's nice, did you learn anything?

Edsall: Ah.. W...Well, I only want to know if you have done
any other websites.

Muller: Yes I have.

Edsall: What were they?

[At this point I could almost hear him quivering with excitement]

Muller: Well Tom, you already know I did the Buchanan, the
US Taxpayers Party, and the Vote Fraud site in '96 and the
Fight the Fingerprint site in 1997.

Edsall: Yes... Yes... Bu ..bbb but what other sites?

Muller: Several business websites -- I keep them separate
from my political activism.

Edsall: What about other organizations? What organizations
do you belong to?

[Again excitement vibes over the phone line, but this time I
thought I heard him drooling]

Muller: I belong to the Reform Party.

Edsall: Yes... ba ..ba... but wa.. wa.. wa.. what other groups?

Muller: None

Edsall: What about the Council of Conservative Citizens.... or
the Nationalist...

Muller: I said I do not belong to other political groups.

Edsall: Wait... Are you a subscriber to the Spotlight?

Muller: What's the Spotlight?

Edsall: I thought I saw something from the Spotlight on your
website.

Muller: Maybe, maybe not, I don't think so. I know I do have
snips from the Washington Post on my site.

Edsall: Okay then, good bye.

-------

Brigade, there is no doubt that Edsall knows that Gerry Moan,
and others on the Executive Committee, as well as numerous
leaders and members from state party organizations have
denounced the Verney-Mangia-Crew vote in Dallas. Edsall
knows that Jim Mangia has called for a "bloodbath" at the
convention.

This is what part of what Edsall wrote:

"Russ Verney, who is helping orchestrate the anti-Buchanan
drive, said: "If you liked the video of Nashville, you are going to
want the film from Long Beach," referring to an earlier national
committee meeting in Nashville that police threatened to halt
because of the danger of violence..."

Edsall and Verney both know that the "violence" at Nashville
was initiated by Sue Harris-Debauche -- the newly crowned
Crew member who voted against Pat at the Dallas meeting!

Somehow that fact was left out of Edsall's column. Yet, he
makes it appear the the Brigades are violent and that is why
security is being "beefed up".

Worse yet, the Washington Post never had the decency to
publish Pat's response to the Edsall hit piece from last week.

We must continue to use all information vehicles - the Net,
phone, fax, snail mail, and local networking -- to bypass the
establishment media and get the truth out to the citizenry.

Whether they know it or not, Verney's Crew and Hagelin are
the NWO's puppets. They continue to feed the anti-America
First media with disinformation. Read the columns below and
you will understand just how much they are willing to damage
our effort to restore the sovereignty of the United States -- just
to keep their control of the Party.

Columnists like Thomas Edsall will continue to use the Crew to
stop our America First movement. It is imperative that our
National Committee unite to replace them in Long Beach.

For the Cause, Linda

Clash Over Procedure Escalates Struggle for Reform Party
Control

By Thomas B. Edsall
Washington Post Staff Writer

..... Jim Mangia, the party's national secretary and a leader in the
fight to prevent Buchanan from winning the nomination, said he
has received a number of "death threats," including a message
on his voice mail last night saying, "You miserable piece of . . .
. I'm going to get you, don't worry, I'm going to get you in Long
Beach."

Former party chair Russ Verney, who is helping orchestrate
the anti-Buchanan drive, said: "If you liked the video of
Nashville, you are going to want the film from Long Beach,"
referring to an earlier national committee meeting in Nashville
that police threatened to halt because of the danger of
violence.

The increasingly hostile struggle for power between the
Buchanan forces and the Perot loyalists who are supporting
John Hagelin for the nomination moved past the point of
negotiable resolution at a rump meeting Saturday night of
some members of the party's executive committee in Dallas.

At this session, which the Buchanan campaign adamantly
claims was illegal, the committee took the extraordinary action
of voting to disqualify Buchanan as a candidate for the
nomination and to order that ballots cast for him in the mail-in
voting now taking place not be counted....

Reform Panel Votes Buchanan Off Ballot

By Thomas B. Edsall
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, July 30, 2000; Page A22

PHILADELPHIA, July 29 –– The Reform Party's executive
committee last night voted to disqualify the candidacy of
Patrick J. Buchanan in a controversial and disputed decision
virtually certain to turn the party's national convention in Long
Beach, Calif., next month into a chaotic confrontation....

Mangia said he believes the accounting firm hired to tabulate
the results will disregard all Buchanan ballots, effectively giving
the nomination to Hagelin, but Mangia indicated that he was
not entirely sure of the process...
