Only one thing can be said of this game: it's as good as the movie

| Wow, can't you see why this game requires a Game Boy Color? |
|
If you still think a movie or comic book license automatically makes a good game, here's hard proof to the contrary. Spawn was an abysmal movie; the game takes the horror one step further, completely bleaching the license of any fun whatsoever. You control Spawn as he tries to annihilate the minions of hell, and you'll go through seven different areas to do so. Gameplay ranges from jumping on platforms to racing along on a motorcycle, but at no point does it become in any way interesting or different from games that did the same thing long ago. The fact that it only runs on Game Boy Color systems makes little sense, since it doesn't seem to utilize the extra power. Sure, it's got pretty colors, but the animations are jerky, and the response to the controls is slow. There is occasionally spoken dialog between characters, but they simply have nothing worthwhile to say.
