| The Cage Match is pretty weak and makes almost no difference in the game. |

Wrestling for Game Boy so far has been a disappointing endeavor to say the least. A crop of hastily cranked out attempts to cash in on the recent popularity of the TV shows have severely lacked innovation. WrestleMania 2000 for Game Boy is the newest addition to this trend with banal gameplay, unrecognizable characters (The Rock looks like an Irish high school jock with a crewcut) and a completely forgettable grappling engine. It seems a shame that a system that could easily handle a port of NES' Pro Wrestling and has boasted the most impressive handheld games ever (Zelda, Metroid 2) has yet to have a quality, deep wrestling title developed for it. We'll keep waiting.

That big red blob is Kane, the other blob is Val Venis. |
Tag Team is pointless since there are never more than two wrestlers in the ring at once. |
That guy in the gray shorts is the People's Champ and has never looked less electric. |
