CAVE IN - BOSTON PHOENIX
05.27.99

Cave In have been garnishing quite a bit o' attention in their home town of Boston. So much that they came in 3rd in the 1999 Boston Phoenix/WFNX Best Music Poll. They came in right behind the insanely boring Godsmack and the ever-aging Sam Black Church. It seems that Boston is finally becoming aware that they have one of the best bands in there possession. The new Cave In EP "Creative Eclipses" is available now in CD and limited 7" formats. "Creative Eclipses" is composed of one brand new song ("Luminance"), one cover song (Failure's "Magnified") and one acoustic song ("Burning Down the Billboards"), with the CD version having two bonus ambient noise tracks. The band is heading into the studio this week to record their version of the Bad Brains classic "I Luv I Jah" for the upcoming Century Media tribute compilation featuring such heavyweight bands as Sepultura, Entombed, Moby, Snapcase, VOD and many others. And in other Cave In recording news…be sure to grab the next Sabbath tribute installment featuring their musical interpretation of the Sabbath's "NIB", along with Botch's version of "The Wizard". Also, don't forget to check out Cave In articles in to of the world's biggest metal mags, Terrorizer and Metal Maniacs.
