SYGATE PERSONAL FIREWALL RECEIVES INDUSTRY RECOGNITION

Enterprise Security Solution Receives Kudos from Network World, SC Magazine, WebAttack.com and ZDNET

Steve Janss, president, Jansys Information Systems, tested Sygate Personal Firewall for Network World magazine last month. He measured the software against six other products including Network Ice's BlackICE Defender, ZoneAlarm, Symantec's Norton Personal Firewall, McAfee.com's Personal Firewall, and Conseal's PC Firewall. Sygate Personal Firewall was just one of two products tested that received perfect scores in all security categories, Janss reported. He continued, that Sygate Personal Firewall is "perfect for midsize businesses and corporate users. When used with Sygate's Management Server, it efficiently and effectively secures any corporate environment."

SC Magazine also recently tested Sygate Personal Firewall, and awarded it five stars for ease-of-use and a four-star rating overall. Sygate Personal Firewall was noted as being "simple to use, a basic intrusion detection software (IDS) and personal firewall rolled into one." The review continued by stating that Sygate Personal Firewall is "ideal as a secondary level of defense for users behind a corporate firewall or IDS system, as well as providing protection for mobile workers when they venture out from behind the company firewall."

Additionally, in a recent review of Sygate Personal Firewall, ZDNet awarded the product its top 5-star ZDNet Rating and described the product as "powerful, flexible, and very easy to implement." Sygate Personal Firewall is also an "Editor's Pick" at WebAttack.com.
