A recent visit to New York inspired me to write a novel. Not about New York of course, that would be too obvious - although I do hope to write about la citta de la citta one day in the not too distant future; I am after all, an urban chronicler. For now, the first few chapters of my novel 'All Roads Lead To Rome' is available on request.

The book is about a down at heels Travel Writer in Eastern Europe who stumbles across a sex slave trade being run by people he knows from Krakow and Budapest's expat scene... If you can imagine Charles Bukowski (Barfly) mixed up with Patricia Highsmith (TheTalented Mr Ripley) you'd be somewhere close. At present the story is around 25,000 words and the central character has yet to even leave Krakow!
