Vietnam War era
REGARDING VIETNAM: STORIES SINCE THE WAR
Using the strengths of the Internet to extend and expand a decades-long
discussion, PBS Online and P.O.V. Interactive have created a new Web
site for personal reflections on the impact of the Vietnam War era, as
well as stories surrounding the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington,
D.C. The site invites individuals to describe how the War and the Wall
have changed their lives and shaped their perspectives. Recent online
contributors have included Pulitzer-prize winner Sydney Schanberg ("The
Killing Fields"); America's most decorated veteran Colonel David
Hackworth (ret.); and the founder and executive director of the Vietnam
Veterans Memorial Foundation, Jan Scruggs.
