There was a Cassell's on the southeast corner of Wilshire and Crescent Hts at one time. It is also out of business. I stopped in a couple of times, it was good but I wouldn't call it the best in LA. Maybe the fact that they could not duplicate the original had something to do with it? I think that Houston's in CC has a pretty good burger. The quality and savory taste of the beef is good. I am really disgusted with the restaurants around that won't cook burgers medium rare anymore. That is certainly a problem at some of the chain places like Islands.
