Smogcutter on Virgil between Melrose and Santa Monica. Hole-In-The-Wall dive with Karaoke. It's great. Saddle Ranch can be fun. I conquered Level 4 on the bull, and got thrown off at the end of Level 5. FYI, it helps to wear leather pants. Prefer the holes to the scenes, so in Korea town there's a little neighborhood dive I fancy called Frank & Hank's 518 S. Western. Lots of local color. There's a great little group of elderly folks who occupy the end of the bar, perhaps everyday.
