You also might want to check out cafe stella in Silverlake. I doubt they're still serving at 1 am but it's a late nite crowd by l.a. standards. I've been there past midnight. Here's a calendar review of the place. Have to say the review is a little too glowing -- I wouldn't give it quite such high marks foodwise. But it's definitely got francophilic charm and eastside hipsterism going for it. If that sounds appealing -- allez-y!
