Message: | Ate last night at Angelini Osteria and I must concur with Mr. Simon. The cannellini beans with red onions and sausage was indeed exquisite - I wondered if they grind their own sausage. I had a plate of rigatoni all'amatriciana that might have been the most perfectly cooked pasta I've ever eaten. Everything fried was wonderfully light, the osso buco was delicious, wine very good, service terrific...I could go on. Unfortunately, none of the above matters, because... THE PLACE IS SO @#$*! LOUD YOU CAN'T HOLD A CONVERSATION. It was a miserable evening and I left with the sort of noise-induced headache I haven't had since hearing Black 47 at Paddy Reilly's a few years back. This is no way to enjoy dinner. If you're dining alone or are no longer on speaking terms with wife/husband/partner, bring earplugs and enjoy. Otherwise, be warned...
