A bit too late... ok, a LOT too late... and maybe you're not checking this thread anymore... but, for what it's worth...
 
Studio City == sushi;
 
There are any number of places to get sushi, from Iroha on Ventura/Coldwater Cyn (across from Coldwater Bistro) to the ineffable Sushi Nozawa (all you need to say is "omakase" and let him do the rest) (and no, I have never seen anyone get thrown out, contrary to Nozawa-san's reputation).
 
If you're not into sushi, there's always standbys like Gaucho Grill or the Great Greek (which is, technically, in Sherman Oaks but it's just outside of Stud City on Ventura).
