I haven't been to Chili John in years, but I love Chili My Soul on Balboa (just S of the 101) in Encino. They've got almost 30 different kinds..meat, chicken, veggie, beans, no beans...whatever you want, with "hotness" from 1-10. They'll willingly kick anything up a notch. My favorites are Texas Pride, Habanero/Mango Chicken, and Durango, all of which taste best at about an 8. Free taste samples, too!
