Although it's not located in the South Valley,
but more mid Valley, there is Wong's Kitchen...
All the Chinese dishes,( more Cantonese) are
reasonable, but last week we had an ala carte
order of "Green Clams in Black Bean Sauce"
for $3.50....with an order of something else
and the steamed rice, you and your partner could both
eat for eight bucks.
It's a block east of the Golden State '5' FWY on Osborne.
