Message: | I think you are on the right track of a common problem that comes up when people ask for rec's. What we need to do is give much more specific criteria about the type of food, price range, geographic boundries, (if any) and ambience, (or lack there of) that we are seeking. Alternatively, the responders need to ask more questions before making their rec's. I know that I am constantly having to do a google to find places mentioned that I have never heard of before and that have not a clue to their locations mentioned in the posts. It is so much easier for our chowhound brethren in SF, given the compact nature of their city, (one of many things I love about SF).
