The King's Head in Santa Monica! Solace of all Westside Brit expats it has tea and very good lunch and dinner menus too - cornish pasties, shepherd's pie, ploughman's lunch, bangers and mash, great fish and chips. Nice location at second and Santa Monica - conducive to stroll on the palisades or down to the pier after tea.
 
There was also a place next door to the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at that corner, on Second between Santa Monica and Broadway. Can't think of the name.
