Neighboring Santa Monica is the chinese restaurant that I always used to eat at when I lived on the Westside, called the Oriental Seafood Inn (next to a mini-mall at Washington Blvd. and Lincoln). Very decent, more authentic than most on the Westside, and they had a few really good dishes I hadn't eaten since I lived in NYC, such as crab with ginger and scallion.
