Maybe you should give the store in North Hollywood a try. The various curries are pretty average, but I've found the thai noodle dishes, and the soups with coconut milk (can't think of the names but they're standards) to be pretty good. It sounds like you ordered a number of chinese dishes that they really aren't known for. The late hours and low prices are a bonus. The portions aren't huge, with the exception of the soups which are generous, but two dishes are enough for me and I am a healthy eater. If I spend $30 for two, we definitely end up bringing food home. The NH branch also makes this wierd dessert comprised of a bowl of shaved ice that they cover with your choice of toppings, such as red beans, various canned tropical fruits, and different colored syrups. It ends up looking psychedelic and is alot of fun.
