Here's two options:
 
Royal Thai Cuisine, 4001 W Coast Hwy, Newport Beach, CA (949) 645-8424
 
Thai Spice 615 W 19th St Costa Mesa, CA (949) 548-4333
 
Royal Thai is a very good sit-down restaurant, while Thai Spice is cheap a hole-in-the-wall with just a few tables--with amazing food. Having eaten in Thailand, I would say that Thai Spice is more "authentic"--unlike most Thai restaurants in the US, they're fairly liberal with the spice.
