Actually, the Oak Glen or Julian ideas have some merit. There's something to be said for the smell of a cider mill and getting the cider pressed right there, whether or not it tastes the best it's a great experience. If you can take the time, go to Julian or Oak Glen. They also have u-pick orchards which can be fun as well.
