Message: | Just came back from Crazy Tokoyo Sushi the location on Ventura & Reseda, last night. Way too many "kids" dining in "psuedo" chic atttudes... but the service was reallt bad. Our appeitizer never made it to our table after waiting 15+ minutes, then when our food arrived , I ordered the same spicy tuna roll I get 2x's a month and it was "SUPER FISHY TASTING". Since it did't have a fresh taste I asked the waitress if I could send it back, and in broken english she took my order for 2 more rolls. Finally when we went to leave, the owner tells me I have to pay for the Spicy Tuma because I ate one the the pieces os the roll. She was very rude, and curt with me and my wife. We have been going to Crazy Tokoyo for 6-7+ years. While the service was never "stellar" at no time have we ever been told "if our fish stinks then you "eat it or pay!!!" What is that all about? Ay time I go to other places if somethig on the menu isn't right, I am used to tehm making it good. The worst part is they should post that info on the menu, or on the wall so everyone knows the policy before they order. We spent 10+ minutes argiung with the owner and finally she took it off, The most disconcerning thing about the establishment is they aslo have a huge tendency to add extra charges to every bill. On the last 3 visits we have had to check the bill, and have it adjusted before we pay. Sometimes for $4.00 but on a previous visit they added $9.00 to our bill due to the poor skills of the waiters to communicate with both themselves, and the customers. Sorry this is so long winded, but theis place has been a favorite 1/2 price sushi haunt for years, and it's a shame it is becoming a "chore" to dine there! ANY OTHER GOOD 1/2 SUSHI IN THE MID OR WEST VALLEY??? Thanks Chow Hounds! And beware of CRAZY TOKOYO!!! |
