Message: | Putting aside the epistemologial issues on knowing the best ... I note that Jay's Jayburgers has gotten good press. I think the Cassel's burger is really good if you go the Jonathan Gold route--the large burger & bun only--none of the lettuce, etc. I personally add some mustard. But as naked as you can get, you really taste the meat. Years ago, Hamburger Hamlet used to make a fine roquefort cheese burger that I thought was the best, but, alas,... Recently had some homemade antelope burgers that were fine. There was a place out in the Upland/Claremont area where I had some very good buffalo burgers. Don't know if it exists anymore. Old World? You are going back a way for those grinders but I agree they were excellent. |
