Message: | I think you're talking about the place that used to be MPV Seafood on Nogales....next to TS Emporium - they used to be OK when they were MPV..at least the cheap lunches were, but after they "changed". You may want to try Ruby Palace in Diamond Plaza on Fullerton, they have pretty good Dim Sum - right off the 60. VIP (I think it's called) - used to be Muslim Chinese, or something like that on the corner of Colima and Fullerton makes a good Tea Smoked Duck. We recently moved to SD from Rowland/Hacienda Heights, and do miss the abundance of eating establishments. I do not, however miss the abrupt and down right rude treatment that I received and untold number of times in that area. I distinctly remember once when paying for some groceries at Hong Kong Market in Rowland Heights, I handed over my money and when the cashier turned to give me my change, stuck my hand out - she rudely and abruptly pushed my hand away and "slapped" my change on the counter...... Things we do miss: - 24 hour Korean Food - The Chicken Box in La Habra's Monday Night special - Marukai, in West Covina (we still drive up once a month to shop) - The Dao Ko Chicken at Hong Kong Market. - L&L; BBQ in Puente Hills mall - be it ever so humble I need my fix of plate lunches every so often. |
