Message: | I recall having this dish several years ago in a Korean BBQ restuarant in Hong Kong. IIRC, it's pieces of raw beef (shredded?), mixed with a raw egg, garlic, onions, and some other miscellaneous stuff I can't remember. I think it was also served on lettuce. It was a very tasty & refreshing dish. Perhaps it was an appetizer. Since someone else mentioned steak Tartare, it brought back old memories, and now I have a craving for the Korean version. I would imagine LA does have more Korean restaurants than Hong Kong, I would guess there's a good chance I can find this dish here. Does anyone know about this dish, what it is called, any variations on it, any place in particular renowned for the dish? Please help me out, thanks!! |
