Joe's in Venice (and I suppose the one on Ventura too) has a fantastic hazelnut creme brulee with this nutty molten chocolate surprise buried deep within the cream and the crisp crust, but for me the best c.b. in Los Angeles has to be at Nouveau Cafe Blanc in Beverly Hills. The creme is so yolky and rich, I've never tasted anything so decadently fantastic, and they always top it with a beautiful shell and fresh fruit. For me, it's the pinnacle of creme brulees.
