Great response, Victoria. Of course, I may be biased since I totally agree with you. This is a gem of a place. Annie Miler fills a much needed niche in the Los Angeles food scene. Her skill at baking shows her training with Nancy Silverton. I'm an absolute sucker for biscuits with country ham, and Clementine is one of the few places in L.A. that offers them, for which I'm one grateful guy, even though I wish the ham had more punch. Her apricot buns are totally divine. She clearly has a fine sense of flavors, demonstrated in her soups, salads, and sandwiches. Take out dinners can be ordered in advance from the catering menu. I only wish that Clementine was closer to where I work, or at least on my route from work to home. If it were, Annie's gross income would noticeably increase.
