There are these wonderful latin cold confection shops around the city called "Helados Pops" (the one I go to is on Western south of Santa Monica across from LACC.) They have wildly exotic fruit ices, many of which do not have English translations and they're delicious and reasonably priced. I love the granadia (passion fruit), the arrayan (?), the tamarind, the nance... they're all great and you can try as many as you like before making your decision. This is the best summer treat!
