For a little twist on normal breakfasts, have you tried Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles? There are several in LA, with one on Lake, a few blocks north of the 210. The waffles aren't large but they're golden brown and very tasty with syrup. Plus, it goes well with their famous fried chicken--the skin is fried light and crunchy, the meat is juicy. If the macaronic special is available on the side, get that as well. A filling meal, good anytime of the day!
