Best overall dining in the desert. Certainly a bit more "contemporary" than the other top-dollar spots in the desert. Le Valluris & St. Germain (same ownership) and mentioned elsewhere in this thread, though good are more "event" or "occasion" restaurants than culinary 5-stars in my opinion.
